Happy Holidays from IC

2022 has been an eventful year for IC, and we’re sure you can relate as well—wherever you may be. From a return to normalcy, to a quickly changing economic landscape, to new hires and layoffs; a much-needed break is welcome to start 2023 with fresh minds and hearts.

We don’t know exactly what 2023 holds for all of us, but wherever you may be in your intranet buyer’s journey, we are here to help and support your organization. In that spirit, let’s take a look at some of our top blogs of 2022 that delivered real value to our customers and intranet shoppers all year round.

1. The Great Resignation & the role of internal communications

The Great Resignation is being caused by lack of communications

If you think back to January 2022, you’ll remember that we were in the midst of “The Great Resignation,” a time where there was a heavy supply of jobs, and workers were resigning in large numbers knowing more opportunities were abundant.

In order for your organization to remain successful during employment booms, it’s important to recognize the role internal communications play in helping workers feel empowered, connected, and secure. Read more!

2. The importance of both push and pull communications

Having a mix of push and pull communications is crucial to a good comms strategy.

In mid-2022, we launched our new Push communications feature, which empowered organizations to reach their employees wherever they may be. At IC, we know that if you solely rely on employees to check your intranet for important news and updates, your internal comms strategy will fail.

That’s why it’s important to balance both push and pull communications. Find out more!

3. IC team story: the unifying power of internal communications

Thanks to internal communications, Laura Balster can work from Illinois

Our Director of Customer Success, Laura Balster, took over our blog and wrote about her experience using our software to feel connected to her teammates as a fully remote worker.

Remote work has been a hurdle for organizations everywhere, especially given the increased attention to employee culture. How do you keep the culture alive virtually? Learn how Laura found out it’s possible to be remote and be engaged here!

4. Internal comms during an economic downturn

It’s hard to believe we wrote about wielding the power of internal comms during an employment boom and an economic recession in one year (six months apart, in fact!) but such has been the wild ride that is 2022.

The latter half of 2022 has been filled with news of layoffs and an ever-sliding stock market. Don’t let fear and worry affect your employees—get ahead of the news with a solid internal comms plan that addresses almost all of the worries that come with a bear market. Read here!

5. Credit union intranet examples we love

Finally, we at IC wouldn’t have had half as wonderful a 2022 if it weren’t for our amazing customers and their successes. In this blog, we share just a few credit union intranets that we love, and that show how a financial intranet can impact credit unions in real and measurable ways. See them here!

We can’t wait to see you in 2023

We hope this holiday season is filled with love, laughter, and relaxation. And if you need a fresh start with a new intranet in 2023, well, we know just where to go.

From all of us at IC, happy holidays and have a wonderful new year.
